About The Unconscious Mapping System Sessions
Understanding the Work That Transforms Patterns at the Root
A Different Kind of Healing
When most people come to me, they’ve already tried to understand their challenges through thinking, analyzing, or traditional talk therapy.
They’ve gained insights… but something still feels stuck.
This is because many of the patterns that shape our lives — our reactions, fears, beliefs, and emotional responses — come from the unconscious, not the conscious mind.
UMS allows us to gently access this deeper layer.
The Unconscious Mapping System is a method I’ve worked with and refined for more than 30 years. It helps us locate the exact origin of a pattern, belief, or emotional wound so healing can unfold from the inside out.
What a UMS Session Looks Like
In the video below, I explain what happens during a UMS session — how we map the unconscious, why the process feels so different from traditional therapy, and what clients typically experience as we move through the work together.
How UMS Works
UMS is a three-part process that helps us uncover, repattern, and integrate deep inner shifts.
The Unconscious Mapping System Method
01. Map the Unconscious
Using a system grounded in the pioneering work of Margaret Field Kean, I guide you into the deeper landscape of your unconscious mind. It’s like walking into the woods together — and I’m holding the flashlight. Through simple mirrored hand positions, we bypass the thinking mind and let your inner guidance show us what needs attention. This part of the process can feel mysterious, but it works. When you trust it, the clarity that emerges is profound.
02. Consciously Re-pattern Old Beliefs
Once the map reveals what needs healing, we identify the priority for that moment — whether physical, nutritional, emotional, or spiritual. Nothing is overlooked. From there, we use talk therapy to bring the conscious mind into the healing process. Together, we re-pattern the beliefs, stories, or internal programs that have been shaping your life behind the scenes.
Depending on what arises, I may also support the work with:
Guided visualizations
Creative expression exercises
Journal Prompts
Meditation
Somatic awareness
Supplement or food-sensitivity testing
Other tools aligned with your healing
This step helps you release patterns at the root, not just the surface.
03. Integrate the Work:
Integration is where the real transformation takes shape — where what you discover becomes part of your lived experience.
You leave each session with:
A new sense of clarity and balance
Insight into what your unconscious has revealed
Practical guidance for integration
Space for the healing to continue unfolding
Here are some signs that the unconscious is asking for your attention:
Physical: Chronic pain, repeated illness, infertility, or mysterious symptoms that don’t resolve. UMS can help uncover what your system is trying to communicate.
Emotional: Anxiety, depression, stress, grief, anger, overwhelm, or emotional patterns that feel unmanageable. UMS can be supportive for long-term healing or for moments of acute emotional need.
Nutritional: Sleep issues, addictions, gut challenges, sensitivities, deficiencies, allergies, or unexplained reactions. UMS can help clarify specific triggers and needs.
Spiritual: Feeling lost, disconnected, purposeless, or unable to access joy or intuition. UMS can help you reconnect to your inner guidance and sense of meaning.
The Unconscious Mapping System can support you through many kinds of challenges.
Whatever you’re facing, this work brings the root cause into the light so you can understand what’s truly needed.
Why UMS Is Different
UMS is not about analyzing your thoughts — it's about listening to the deeper intelligence of your whole system.
It is:
Gentle — nothing is forced
Deep — we go straight to the root
Precise — your unconscious guides the session
Transformative — shifts happen from the inside out
It often reveals things you’ve never consciously considered but immediately resonate as truth.
This is the power of working with the unconscious.
